Aesgard became a rural farming and lumber community, choosing to adopt a more rugged and almost medieval aesthetic, with cobbled roads and faux half-timber exteriors (over perfectly modern interiors). It was because of the town's more rural location that it was chosen to host the [[Aesgard Military Depot]] in [[2019]], a little over a year after the city was founded.
