The ''Emperor''-class Command Cruiser is a ship with superior sensor arrays, and communications, designed to serve as a mobile command center. While other ships can handle this, in a pinch, this is a purpose-built craft, designed for command and control operations, and to assist as an orbital forward operating base for ground forces. To offset it's importance, it's given slightly more armor than a regular cruiser. In addition to it's heavier armor, sensors, and other command & control systems, in place of many of the combat systems it carries equipment to resupply and repair whatever battle group it happens to be accompanying. To augment this, it carries an upgraded electronic warfare suite, designed to cause havoc in enemy communications & computer systems. Additionally, the ''Emperor''-class cruiser lends it's advanced computing systems to other vessels to allow for faster computing for firing solutions through distributed processing, and coordinating of missile volleys for optimal results (without overriding the firing solutions chosen by the ship commanders).
