The ''Guardian''-class carrier is one of the heaviest warships built by [[The Initiative]]. The number of aircraft carried is close to a hundred. In addition to this, is carries all the machinery required to repair and rebuild damaged fighters. These tools can be repurposed to make spare part for a ''Guardian''-class carrier or any other class of warship in use. To this end, it carries the equipment to harvest minerals from asteroids and planetary surfaces in order to make the parts (and fuel) it requires.
==History==
The ''Guardian''-class Fleet Carrier was first designed in the late 2200s, to utilize new technology that made the concept of space fighters a viability possibility. The first ''Guardian''-class carriers were constructed in orbit over [[Sanctuary]], and began running tests at the [[Arc System#Loki Anchorage|Loki Anchorage]]. When it was deemed that the class could work, construction began on a number of similar vessels.
