With the advent of more reliable orbital and sub-orbital shuttles, the islands became something of a tourist destination rather than a stopover point. In the intervening years, Mavi Adalar has found itself becoming a tourism destination, as well as serving as a hub for fishing, research, and exploratory vessels.
