|History=The SFCV ''Hurricane'' (FFX-02/FF1-01) was laid down in [[2151|2151 CE]], shortly after the [[SFCV Tempest|SFCV ''Tempest'' (FFX-01/FF1-01)]], in a neighboring part of the same shipyard. The ''Hurricane'' utilized some alternative means of construction, that allowed it to reach completion marginally faster, allowing both ships to be commissioned on the same day in [[2156|2156 CE]]. Following the shakedown cruise, the ship was redesignated the FF1-02 and assigned to [[Second Fleet]] where it has remained for much of the intervening time.
