|History=The SFCV ''Tethys'' (FF2) was laid down in [[2020|202 CE]], at [[The Hive]] on [[Sanctuary]], in the [[Arc System]]. It was launched the following year, in early [[2021|2021 CE]], alongside several other frigates, to serve as escorts for transports to and from [[Earth]], in the [[Sol System]].

The ''Tethys'' was lost with all hands in [[2025|2025 CE]], when it emerged from a point singularity jump in the [[Sol System]]. Engineers from a later deployment were used to overload the ship's reactor, which survived the enmeshment, to destroy the wreckage to prevent members of the United Earth Fleet from gaining access to the ship's schematics.
