The SFCV Cronus (FF7) was an Archer-class frigate operated by The Initiative.

History

The SFCV Cronus (FF7) was launched in 2021 CE, to serve in the War of Secession. The vessel served with distinction, as part of the fledgling First Fleet, under what would become the Space Forces Command. The ship was noted with several kills of anti-orbital weapon emplacements on Earth, and served as support during some of the heaviest fighting on Luna.

The ship's luck would run out in 2031 CE, during the Fall of Earth, when it was heavily damaged, and forced to retreat from the engagement. Cronus would return to Sanctuary for repairs, before returning to assist in the garrisoning of the Sol System. Following the withdrawal of all Initiative forces from Sol in 2037 CE, the Cronus was dispatched as a deep space scout, ahead of resource exploitation teams.

It was during an scouting mission in 2076 CE that it went missing.

Namesake

The SFCV Cronus (FF7) was named for the leader of the first generation of Greek titans, and the father of a number of the second generation of titans.
