The SFCV Hammurabi (B5) was a Templar-class battleship that was destroyed during the War of Secession.

History

The SFCV Hammurabi (B5) was constructed at The Hive, and launched in early 2021 CE, after several delays in fabricating parts. It served with distinction during the War of Secession, often aiding ground forces with pinpoint orbital artillery strikes. It received significant damaged in 2022 CE when its point-defense weapons failed to take down an anti-satellite missile aimed at it.

The ship spent several months in drydock for repairs, before returning to the fleet. It would be destroyed in 2031 CE during the Fall of Earth.

Namesake

The SFCV Hammurabi (B5) was named after a Babylonian King. Hammurabi was notable for creating one of the first written and concise code of laws, which became the basis of many later legal systems.
