The Second Division, colloquially known as "Shadow Walkers", is a combined arms division of Ground Forces Command.

History

Established two years into the War of Secession, Second Division was activated in September of 2026 CE, at the Aesgard Military Depot on Sanctuary, in the Arc System. After several months of intensive training, Second Division was sent to aid First Division on Earth, in the Sol System. Second Division began to attempt to gain territory in areas away from First Division, in order to force the governments of Earth to divide their resources in combating the threat. Following the end of the war, Second Division was scattered among the colonies, to help police them, slowly being pulled together as more units were established.

Organization

Second Division is a combined arms division, with a focus on mechanized infantry and armored units. Despite this, however, Second Division maintains two mobile infantry regiments, and an artillery regiment, as well as integral logistics and medical detachments to allow the division to operate without outside support in an emergency. Many of the subordinate units also include attached medics.
