The town of Aesgard is one of the oldest settlements on the planet of Sanctuary, in the Arc System.

History

Founded in March of 2018, Aesgard was intended to provide raw resources for the capitol city of Terra Casus, to its distant east. Aesgard became a rural farming and lumber community, choosing to adopt a more rugged and almost medieval aesthetic, with cobbled roads and faux half-timber exteriors (over perfectly modern interiors). It was because of the town's more rural location that it was chosen to host the Aesgard Military Depot in 2019, a little over a year after the city was founded. While distant from the city of Terra Casus, Aesgard maintained many of the same laws, in an attempt to minimize the town's ecological impact, which has had the effect of somewhat stunting the town's growth to a little over 7,000 inhabitants, not including the nearby military depot.
