The IPV
Wild Hunter (K1-31) is a vessel of the
Interstellar Patrol, used for police activity.
History
The IPV Wild Hunter is the 31st vessel of the Conquistador-class of corvette. Construction on the Wild Hunter began in 2106 CE, and was launched in 2107 CE. When it was initially acquired by the Patrol, the Wild Hunter was assigned to patrol the at-the-time outer colonies, remaining in that territory as those worlds have become considered part of the core worlds of The Initiative. It was vital in breaking up smuggling operations operating out of uncharted systems.
Namesake
The IPV Wild hunter is named for the "Wild Hunt" of European mythology, originating on Earth, a group of supernatural beings engaged in reckless hunting and typically associated as an omen of an oncoming disaster.
