History
Originally settled by the third wave of colonists from Earth, Mavi Adalar (Blue Islands in Turkish) is an island grouping located just offshore from Tukaso. Due to it's offshore location, a small spaceport was established there to facilitate trade between major settlements on Sanctuary, with a bridged rail connection to the city proper. With the advent of more reliable orbital and sub-orbital shuttles, the islands became something of a tourist destination rather than a stopover point. In the intervening years, Mavi Adalar has found itself becoming a tourism destination, as well as serving as a hub for fishing, research, and exploratory vessels.
