The SFcV Gilgamesh (B4) was a Templar-class battleship, that saw service during the War of Secession before being destroyed during the Fall of Earth.

History

The SFCV Gilgamesh (B4) was constructed at The Hive on Sanctuary, in 2020 CE. It was deployed to serve as an escort for colony transports during the early days of the war, before being assigned to one of two newly created fleets.

The ship survived multiple skirmishes during the war, but was ultimately destroyed during the Fall of Earth. The ship was caught by a secondary explosion when a nearby cruiser was destroyed.

Namesake

The SFCV Gilgamesh (B4) was named for the legendary demigod and king Gilgamesh, of Sumeria, and likely existed between 2800 BCE and 2500 BCE.
