History
The SFCV Tanegashima (D2-09) was laid down for construction on Ares, in the Arc System in late 2501 CE. It is slated to be completed in mid-2503, to begin it's shakedown cruise and enter service shortly thereafter.
Namesake
The SFCV Tanegashima (D2-09) is was a type of Japanese matchlock rifle, introduced to Japan in 1543 CE.
