Built as one of the first waves of purpose-built exploration vessels, the RECV Leland Modesitt has launched in 2050 CE.
Namesake
The RECV Leland Modesitt was named for Leland Exton Modesitt, Jr, a writer on Earth prior to the War of Secession. It was from his writings that a number of laws on ecology, as well as fleet operations were inspired.
