The CMS
Rosen was an interplanetary vessel that saw service as an personnel transport and ore-hauler in the
Arc System between
2030 CE and
2057 CE.
History
The CMS Rosen was the first interplanetary civilian vessel launched by The Initiative. The Rosen was launched by a group of young entrepreneurs hoping to carry ore from Tyr to Sanctuary, on government contracts, as well as aid in bringing supplies and colonists in the opposite direction. It was lightly outfitted with weaponry, under the Civilian Auxiliary Military Forces Act (CAMFA), but never saw combat and was never officially commissioned as a CAMFA vessel. It was instrumental in keeping the Hermes sensor outpost supplied, on several occasions. Due, however, to its lack of a Point Singularity Drive it was retired in 2057 CE when it proved too costly to attempt to graft on an interplanetary drive to it.

Auxiliary Craft
The types of auxiliary craft carried by an auxiliary cruiser are dependent on mission and the class of vessel. Many auxiliary cruisers have been modified with launch catapults to allow them to launch fighter craft, either from their regular hangar, or from their cargo bays.
Alterations
The CMS
Rosen carried only eight 12-inch coilguns, and six 8-inch coilguns, in addition to the close-in weapons system. Because it pre-dated shielding technology and lacked a point singularity drive, the CMS
Rosen was never outfitted with a shield, and carried only two
Porter-class Shuttles, and a single
Titan-class Heavy Lift Shuttle.
