The SFCV Beowulf (B6) was a Templar-class battleship launched during the War of Secession. Following the war, it was converted for use as a colony vessel.

History

The SFCV Beowulf (B6) was built at The Hive on Sanctuary. The vessel was completed and launched in 2022 CE, to serve in the War of Secession. The vessel was assigned to convoy details with until the formation of First Fleet. It assisted in aiding First Division and Second Division, protecting transports and shuttles carrying soldiers across the world.

The Beowulf survived the war, and the subsequent Fall of Earth, before being assigned to aiding in transporting soldiers back to Sanctuary, in addition to new colonists. It remained in service until 2043 CE, when it was declared surplus and transferred to serve with the Colonial Authority, aiding as a colony transport. It would be dismantled in the early 2100s, to provide infrastructure and components for a colony world.

Namesake

The SFCV Beowulf (B6) was named for the titular hero and later king, Beowulf from a poem. The poem was written sometime between 700 CE and 1000 CE.
