The Watcher-class Deep Space Weapons Platform are intended to be autonomous weapons platforms that require minimal upkeep. Furthermore, they can be upgraded with a weapons module allowing them to launch missiles equipped with a Point Singularity Drive to allow them to conduct strikes at distant planets as part of a first strike weapon.
The Watcher-class is typically automated and remains in standby mode unless activated by a command signal or the presence of a potential hostile craft.
