History
The SFCV Uther Pendragon (B1) was constructed at The Hive on Sanctuary, before being launched in 2020 CE, in preparation for guarding transports leaving Earth. In 2021 CE, when First Fleet was established, the Uther was chosen as the flagship, tasked with leading skirmishes against Earth's fleet.
Despite it's relatively untested nature, the Uther survived until the end of the war, and the Fall of Earth, with minimal damage. Because of the minimal damage, and it's over-engineered nature, the Uther was chosen to assist in carrying refugees and supplies from Earth. When the trickle of refugees dried up, and Earth was quarantined, the Uther was unofficially mothballed, before being converted to use as a colony vessel under the Colonial Authority. After helping seed several colonies, the Uther was scrapped over one of its newest colonies, and it's parts went into helping build the colonial infrastructure in 2061 CE.
Namesake
The SFCV Uther Pendragon (B1) was named after the legendary English king, Uther Pendragon. Uther Pendragon was the predecessor and father of the legendary King Arthur Pendragon (for whom the SFCV Arthur Pendragon (B2) is named for).
