Beyond the Frontier is a play-by-forum roleplay set in a unique universe. Following the Fall of Earth, peace has reigned throughout the galaxy for centuries, with new colonies flourishing under the benevolent rule of democratic meritocracy known as The Initiative. Every day, new ships are launched into the void to seek new lands, and new opportunities for society to flourish and grow; but not all who set forth are heard from again. The call has gone out for brave men and women, from Sanctuary and it's many colonies, to investigate these mysteries, and carry on the mission of exploration, delving deeper into the unknown.
The Expedition
The Expedition was created by the order of the Protector of the Initiative, at Central Control, in order to investigate the strange events surrounding the destruction of the SFCV Heart of Winter (BB1-02), and other similar strange phenomena. The Expedition was initially comprised of survivors of the Heart of Winter Incident, but later joined by specialists from all of human space to delve into the mysteries of the universe.
A month after the events of the Heart of Winter Incident, the Expedition was formally established at the behest of the Protector, and acknowledged, albeit grudgingly, by the Senate at the House of Planets. The Expedition was given the SFCV Dinavar (D13) to utilize as their mobile base of operations, as well as coordinates to the last stop of the Heart of Winter prior to it's arrival at Sanctuary. Information recovered from the wreckage led the expedition to the planet of Taelbern, in the Aditi System, which had gone silent several days prior to the expedition being dispatched.
