History
The SFCV Hyperion (FF3) was laid down in 2020 CE, at The Hive on Sanctuary, in the Arc System. It was launched the following year beside the SFCV Oceanus (FF1), the SFCV Tethys (FF2)the SFCV Theia (FF4), and the SFCV Coeus (FF5), in 2021 CE.
The Hyperion had a largely undistinguished history, until 2026 CE, when members of the Hyperion's crew were the first to ever destroy another vessel during a spacewalk. The vessel they destroyed was the Tethys, which had been knocked out of commission and rendered unusable during a point singularity jump, by debris. In 2031 CE, during the Fall of Earth, the Hyperion would be lost itself, to enemy action.
Namesake
The SFCV Hyperion (FF3) was named for one of the Greek mythological Titans.
