History
The SFCV Troy (D1) was constructed at The Hive in 2020 CE. Originally intended as a transport personnel and transports, it was rapidly converted into the first of the Striker-class destroyers when the first transports were harassed by forces from Earth.
The vessel served throughout the war, repeatedly taking damage and requiring significant time in drydock for repairs. In 2031 CE, the vessel was released from drydock in time to rejoin the fleet in time for the Fall of Earth. Several of the repairs failed in critical systems, causing the loss of the vessel.
Namesake
The SFCV Troy (D1) was named for the city of the Aegean sea, Troy, also known as Ilium, located in what would later be known as Turkey. It was destroyed during war with several neighboring Greek city-states.
