The SFCV Dawnstar (BB2-02) is a Praetorian-class Battleship that went missing in 2388 CE. It is suspected to have been lost to pirate activity.

History

The SFCV Dawnstar was the second of the newest generation of Praetorian-class battleships. It was commissioned in 2353 CE. The Dawnstar's career was largely unremarkable, with the majority of it's combat activity being in skirmishes against pirates.

It disappeared in 2388 CE when it was en route from Sanctuary to Charadan. It is suspected to have been lost to either pirate activity or enmeshment, but no evidence to support either claim has ever been discovered. Rumors abound that it was lost to a malfunction of it's Point Singularity Drive, or to some experiment in the Charyn System.
