The SFCV Midgard (C5) was a Swordsman-class cruiser launched and destroyed during the War of Secession.

History

The SFCV Midgard (C5) was constructed at The Hive on Sanctuary, to be launched in 2021 CE. It saw service during the War of Secession before being finally destroyed in 2031 CE during the Fall of Earth. Most of the crew was saved by nearby vessels.

Namesake

The SFCV Midgard (C5) is named for a piece of Norse mythology, Midgard (an anglicised form of Old Norse Miðgarðr; Old English Middangeard, Swedish/Danish Midgård, Old Saxon Middilgard, Old High German Mittilagart, Gothic Midjun-gards; literally "middle enclosure") is the name for the world known as Earth.
