January

• 01/07: The Universal Service Pistol's design is formalized.

February

• 02/05: First Division is activated as a unit.

March

• 03/01: The Universal Service Pistol (USP) enters production.

April

• 04/03: Construction begins on Central Control as the government requirements threaten to outgrow the previous offices, on Sanctuary, in the Arc System.
• 04/11: Construction of the above-ground section of Central Control is completed on Sanctuary, in the Arc System.
• 04/26: Aircraft from several nations begin harassing landing shuttles on Earth, coming to recruit new colonists.
• 04/28: Ground forces begin harassing recruitment teams on the ground on Earth. The recruitment teams are authorized to defend themselves, leading to a bloody skirmish.

May

• 05/07: Central Command is established by The Initiative for the perceived upcoming war.
• 05/14: After a half month of skirmishes, the War of Secession officially begins.
• 05/15: Several nations on Earth band together to form the United Earth Fleet, comprised primarily of the United Nations Security Council, in addition to several other nations.
  • Construction begins on a number of prototype vessels.
• 05/17: The Interstellar Intelligence Service (IIS), the forerunner of the Interstellar Service (ISS) and the Internal Security Directorate (ISD), is created by The Initiative.

June

• 06/08: The first Templar-class Battleships, re-purposed colony transports, are launched.
  • The SFCV Uther Pendragon (B1) and SFCV Arthur Pendragon (B2) are launched.
• 06/12: Lieutenant Commander Erin Diabel (SFC) is assigned as commanding officer of the soon to be launched SFCV Ilium (D2).
• 06/14: The first Striker-class Destroyers, re-purposed couriers, are launched.
  • The SFCV Troy (D1), SFCV Ilium (D2), and SFCV Carthage (D3) are launched.

July

• 07/27: The first levels of Central Control, on Sanctuary, are finished. The servers handling the largely digital economy are brought online.

August

• 08/26: First Division becomes known as the "Nightstalkers".

September

• 09/01: The first elements of the Planetary Defense Force, the forerunner of the Civil Defense Force and System Defense Force, are activated on Sanctuary, in the Arc System.

October

• 10/16: Tukaso is founded on Sanctuary, in the Arc System.

November

December

• 12/01: The SFCV Dardanus (B3) is launched.
• 12/03: The SFCV Gilgamesh (B4) is launched.
