The SFCV Yggdrasil (C19) was a Swordsman-class cruiser launched during the War of Secession.

History

The SFCV Yggdrasil (C19) was laid down in 2023 CE at The Hive on Sanctuary. It would be commissioned in 2026 CE, more than halfway through the war. The Yggdrasil was one of several vessels assigned to support operations on Luna. Because of this, it was unable to join in the Fall of Earth.

After the war, the Yggdrasil was one of the vessels briefly mothballed in orbit over Sanctuary, in the Arc System. It was reactivated in the 2050s, before eventually being decommissioned in 2130 CE.

Namesake

The SFCV Yggdrasil (C19) was named for a tree of Norse mythology, known as the Yggdrasil, or the "World Tree", which had three named wells of power located beneath it.
