History
The SFCV Yomi (C27) was built at The Hive on Sanctuary, to be launched in 2030 CE. It was utilized primarily as a transport to aid in bringing colonists from Earth to Sanctuary, until the quarantine of the Sol System. Following the quarantine, it was briefly mothballed at the Loki Anchorage, until 2046 CE, when it was reactivated to serve as a courier between colonies.
In 2132 CE, when the rest of the Swordsman-class had been deactivated, the Yomi was among several vessels considered to be in superb shape, that were considered candidates to be mothballed. It would be mothballed at the Aradesh Deep Space Storage Depot in the Aradesh System, as part of the mothball fleet saved against possible need in the future. Like the other mothballed vessels, the Yomi receives regular maintenance and upgrades every few years, to ensure that it would be able to work alongside newer vessels should the need arise.
