The SFCV Eden (C23) is a mothballed Swordsman-class cruiser, originally built for service during the War of Secession.

History

The SFCV Eden (C23) was laid down in The Hive in 2025 CE for construction, before being commissioned in 2026 CE, as one of the last Swordsman-class cruisers built. The Eden remained in the Arc System, assigned to the Planetary Defense Force (PDF), the forerunner of the System Defense Force (SDF) and the Civil Defense Force (CDF), before they became separate military branches.

The Eden remained in service until 2132 CE, often put at the disposal of the Colonial Authority, until it was mothballed. It would be placed in storage in the Aradesh Deep Space Storage Depot later in the year.

Namesake

The SFCV Eden (C23) was named for the "Garden of Eden" present in several religions from Earth. It is said to be a place of paradise.
