History
Steintor (P1-05) was constructed in 2251 CE to serve as an orbital transfer point for resources and personnel from incoming and outgoing ships with various bases on the planet below. In addition to serving as an orbital control point, and communications relay, it was intended to receive any civilian vessel and prevent them from landing on the planet below.
Little is known about Steintor or the operations conducted aboard it.
Namesake
The name Steintor is derived from the words for "Stone Gate", in German, a language previously spoken on Earth.
