Porth Llongau (PO1-02) is an orbital platform and shipyard complex in orbit over
Loki, at the Loki Anchorage. It is located at the anchorage to support the fleet, offering repairs, supplies, and whatever services are needed. Because of it's location at a military anchorage, it is almost exclusively crewed by military personnel and civilian contractors.
History
Construction began on Porth Llongau (PO1-02) in 2029 CE to support the war effort. Because of resources being diverted to creating and maintaining evacuation transports, as well as warships, construction was slowed down immensely. As soon as it was sufficiently completed to conduct support operations, it was pressed into service. Following the war, construction was temporarily halted between 2031 and 2036, before it was completed in 2040 CE.
Namesake
Porth Llongau could be loosely translated from Welsh to "Gate of Ships", to denote it's purpose as a fleet support platform.
